Volume I,328pp ; Volume II,316pp; Volume III,318pp; Volume IV,308pp.States in Publisher’s advert at back of Vol.IV -‘ Completed to F.E.Landon by William Hazlitt, and including a Life of Byron By Sir Henry L. Bulwer. Illustrated with Portraits,Incidents,and Localities and including the characteristics of a British poet. Plum boards, gilt design to spine and page edges. Raised design to front with ‘National Illustrated Library’ entwined in floral design. Bumping to extremities, fraying to top of spine volume 1. Inscriptions in blue ink to all yellow front end pages which has caused the page to tear. Stain to front board of volume 2.
The interior of these books remains clean and bright with numerous illustrations throughout.
